Overview of this Course:
An intermediate-level study of the more important principles of geometric and physical optics, with illustrations of both classical and modern applications. Topics include the electromagnetic nature of light, Wave propagation, geometrical optics (reflection, refraction, dispersion), physical optics (interference, Fraunhofer and Fresnel diffraction). 

Prerequisite(s): PHY 331.
